The leaders of Kissan Board of Pakistan and Kissan Ittehad on Wednesday protested against their non-invitation to a farmers’ convention to be addressed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, resenting that the government only invited the leaders of so-called farmers’ organization, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Prime Minister Khan is going on a day-long visit of Bahawalpur today (Wednesday) to inaugurate several development schemes. He will also address Kisan Convention and distribute Kisan Cards among the farmers.

However, the leaders of Kisan Board of Pakistan and Kisan Ittehad protested against the organisers of Kissan Convention for not extending an invitation to them.

A leader of the farmers’ body, Jam Hazoor Bakhsh Larr, said that the organisers only invited to the so-called government-sponsored farmers’ organization. He said growers were really disappointed by the government attitude.

Another leader, Faiz Khan Khakwani, opined that the government should invite all farmers’ bodies.

Kisan leader Ch Abdul Mutlab said that the convention organisers did not invite the real representatives of the growers.
