Meghan Markle's drink dubbed as ‘pour decision’
Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has launched her much-anticipated As Ever Rosé wine officially, but early reviews suggest it may leave a bitter aftertaste.
The 43-year-old expanded her lifestyle brand with the release of the $30 pink drink, adding it to her curated range of pantry products that followed the debut of her Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan.
While the rollout created a buzz, reactions to the wine have been mixed, with some branding the taste ‘acidic’ and underwhelming.
FEMAIL, one of the first outlets to test the product, called the wine an ‘acquired taste’ and hinted it may have been a ‘pour decision’ on Meghan’s part.
This isn’t Meghan’s first step into lifestyle ventures, but her As Ever brand has had a rocky start. Critics, including columnist Maureen Callahan, had previously panned the original line of pantry items.
Still, the Duchess appears undeterred. With her signature smile and polished branding, Meghan is continuing to position herself as a lifestyle entrepreneur – even if not everyone is toasting her latest offering.
