Four gang rape accused killed in Peshawar shootout

Four suspects arrested in a gang rape case were killed when a police party came under attack in the jurisdiction of Rahman Baba Police Station in Peshawar on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr Mian Saeed said that the arrested suspects were being taken to the crime scene for identification when unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire on the police party.

The CCPO said all four suspects in custody were killed after being hit by bullets during the firing, while the police personnel remained unharmed.

The deceased were identified as Amir, Jalal alias Raja, Chacha and Amdas.

According to the Peshawar CCPO, the suspects had allegedly scaled the wall of a house in Garhi Mosa Khan on Sunday night and sexually assaulted women at gunpoint.

Police said they registered a case regarding the incident at Rahman Baba Police Station on September 6. Weapons allegedly used in the crime were also recovered from the arrested suspects.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway and indiscriminate action against criminal elements will continue.

Peshawar police registered a case against the accused under Section B 449.170/375-A, and 395/377 dated 6.9.2026.
