A PTI dinner that goes sour for its senators!

The dinner hosted by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) for its senators at Punjab House, Islamabad on Thursday night turned sour when Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak asked the senators to take oath on the holy Quran that they would vote for the PTI candidates in the elections for the seats of Senate chairman and deputy chairman on Friday (today).

The Pervez Khattak’s move made Barrister Ali Zafar and some other senators annoyed, while other senators, in a fit of anger, even left the dinner, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The senators asked the minister not to drag religion into politics.

Addressing the minister, senators Anwar Kakar and Sarfaraz Bugti said those who did not want to vote for the PTI candidates would do so even if they take oath on the holy book.

All the PTI Senators were made to stay at the Punjab House all night long and were taken to the Parliament House on Friday morning under strict vigilance.
