3 cops destroying opium crop shot dead in Chillas

Three policemen lost their lives when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on them in Chillas on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident took place in the Thor Goian area of Chillas. Sources said that a police team was busy destroying the opium crop when the armed assailants opened fire on them and escaped from the scene.

A District Superintendent of Police (DS) Faqir Mohammad and some other policemen received critical bullet wounds.

Soon after receiving the report, a police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and injured persons to the hospital.

Heavy contingents of police and other security agencies already reached the site of the incident.

Domestic dispute claims three lives in Khyber

Two women and a man lost their lives, and one became seriously injured when some unidentified gunmen opened fire on them due to a domestic dispute in the Khyber area.

The firing incident occurred in the Bara Kala Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Soon after receiving the report, local police reached the site and shifted the dead bodies to hospital. Police said that firing incident occurred due to domestic abuse.

Efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.
