HEC conducts test for 400 scholarships in Balochistan
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Monday successfully conducted B.Ed. and BS scholarships test for female students across Balochistan to promote merit-based education opportunities in the province.
A total of 3,147 students registered to compete for 400 designated scholarships, while 1,694 candidates appeared in the examination.
The test was held at 14 examination centres across the province, including Quetta, Gwadar, Turbat, Khuzdar, Hub, Zhob and Sibi.
To ensure a transparent and merit-based examination process, 253 invigilators and 14 monitoring officers were appointed to supervise the test.
Balochistan Secretary for School Education Lal Khan Jafar visited the examination centre at the University of Balochistan. During the visit, he expressed satisfaction with the arrangements for the test.
HEC said the main objective of the scholarships test is to expand higher education opportunities based on merit for female students in Balochistan.
