Major promotions in federal bureaucracy: 49 police officers elevated to higher ranks
The Central Selection Board (CSB), under the chairmanship of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) Chairman, has approved the promotion of 49 police service officers to higher grades in the federal bureaucracy.
During the board meeting, 17 officers were promoted to the rank of Additional Inspector General (IG) in Grade 21, while 32 officers were elevated to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in Grade 20.
Promotions to Additional IG (Grade 21):
The officers recommended for promotion to Grade 21 include:
• Waqar Ahmed Chohan, Khurram Shakoor, Saad Akhtar, Azad Khan
• Zaeem Iqbal Sheikh, Shahzad Sultan, Wasim Ahmed Khan (Retd. Flight Lt.), Zulfiqar Larq, Sharjeel Karim Kharal
• Iqbal Dara Dayo, Muhammad Tahir, Abbas Ahsan, Syed Khurram Ali, Humayun Bashir Tarar, Muhammad Jafar
• Dr. Tariq Chohan and Shakeel Ahmed Durrani
Promotions to DIG (Grade 20):
The 32 officers promoted to DIG rank include:
• Fawaduddin Riaz Qureshi, Muhammad Ali Nekokara, Imran Shaukat, Faisal Bashir Memon, Junaid Ahmed
