The Diplomat raises concerns over global security risks from Afghanistan

International magazine The Diplomat has highlighted concerns over security threats emerging from Afghanistan, stating that militant activity originating from Afghan territory continues to pose a significant risk to neighbouring countries and the wider region.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the magazine reported that Afghanistan has increasingly become a focal point for various regional and international security concerns, with alleged links between militant groups and networks operating across borders.

The international magazine argues that the scale of the threat is often underestimated despite repeated warnings and available evidence.

The magazine report further claims that some international stakeholders remain hesitant in adopting stronger measures, even as security institutions in several countries continue to express concern over the evolving situation.

It also points to the humanitarian and social conditions inside Afghanistan, noting restrictions on basic rights and the worsening human rights situation, particularly affecting women, as part of a broader crisis.

The publication concludes that the international community needs to reassess its approach and adopt more consistent policies to address instability and militancy risks associated with the region.

According to experts, by providing safe havens to terrorists in Afghanistan, the Taliban ragime  have proven that they are the biggest facilitators of unrest in the region.

The experts said the international community must adopt a tougher approach against the terrorist policies of the Afghan Taliban instead of just paying lip service.
