Switzerland on Saturday denied permission to the USA planes to use its airspace during the Iran war, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The Swiss government said that it had rejected two requests made by the USA, citing its tradition of impartiality in international conflicts.
However, the federal authority granted permission to three other flights, including two transport aircraft.
“The law of neutrality prohibits overflights by parties to the conflict that serve a military purpose,” according to the statement.
The development comes even as US President Donald Trump urged other countries to send warships to the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, following Iran's threat to retaliate Washington's bombing of the Kharg Island.
