SAPM Haroon Akhtar meets officials of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Minerals and Geology

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan on Wednesday held a meeting with officials at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Minerals and Geology.

At the meeting, Pakistan and Uzbekistan discussed opportunities for cooperation in the mineral and mining sector.

Considering the vast mineral reserves in Pakistan and the vast experience of Uzbekistan in the mining sector, there is immense potential for cooperation between the two countries in this sector.

Both sides agreed that regular contacts will be maintained at the ministerial level for further practical cooperation in the mining industry.

Earlier, the special assistant visited “Techno Park” where he was briefed about the manufacturing of household and other electrical products.

He expressed interest in cooperation between the two countries in the joint production of modern gas and electricity meters and solar water heaters.
