Lahore CCD encounter, two suspects killed, three escape after gunfight

Two suspected robbers were killed and three others escaped after an alleged exchange of fire with the Crime Control Department (CCD) Cantt in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, five motorcycle-riding robbers had allegedly shot and injured a citizen during a robbery. The CCD Cantt team later chased the five suspects, who allegedly opened fire at the CCD personnel.

An exchange of fire followed, in which two suspects were killed while three managed to escape from the scene. The identities of the two deceased suspects could not be confirmed.

Police recovered two stolen motorcycles, weapons and bullet magazines from the deceased suspects.

The police took the bodies into custody and shifted them to a morgue. Meanwhile, raids are being conducted to trace the three suspects who escaped, police sources said.
