FBR makes online application mandatory for tax registration transfers

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made it mandatory for the traders to submit online applications for the transfer of tax registration from one tax office or zone to another, 24N ewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

According to official instructions, applications for changing tax jurisdiction must now be filed through the designated online portal, while traditional paper-based requests will no longer be entertained.

Authorities have clarified that no action will be taken on manually submitted applications.

The FBR further stated that permission for a change in tax jurisdiction or office will only be granted with the approval of the Chief Commissioner FBR.
