A minor girl, who was admitted to General Hospital following receiving injuries in an incident of aerial firing in Gujjarpura locality of Lahore on September 10, succumbed to her wounds on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The police said that Inaya, a resident of the cantonment, had gone to China Scheme along with her parents. 

She was playing in the street when she fell victim to a stray bullet, the Force said, adding Inaya remained admitted at the hospital for several days and finally breathed her last.   

Suspect killed during police encounter

Also on Thursday, Ali Raza, a suspect who was wanted by the police in connection with over three dozen heinous crimes, was killed due to the firing of his own accomplices in the limits of Chuhng police station of Lahore.   

Sources told the 24NewsHD TV channel that the Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel were taking Raza for recovery when their van came under attack from the accomplices of the suspect. 

This led to an encounter, sources said, adding that during the exchange of fire, Raza was killed due to the firing of his own accomplices, who managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
