Kiran Khan announces nikah with Nazia Hassan’s former husband
Pakistani actress and TV host Kiran Khan has announced her Nikah with businessman Ishtiaq Baig, who was previously married to legendary singer Nazia Hassan.
Kiran shared the news through an Instagram post featuring pictures from their Nikah. In her heartfelt caption, she described her first Umrah and Nikah in Makkah as two of the biggest blessings in her life.
“By the grace of Allah, performed Umrah and tied the knot in the most blessed place on earth,” Kiran wrote, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to begin her married life in the holy city.
She further said there could be no better way to start a life together than with “Tawaf, Sujood, and blessings in the Haram.” She also prayed for Allah to accept their Umrah, bless their Nikah and make them a source of peace and goodness for each other.
The announcement quickly attracted attention on social media, with several celebrities congratulating Kiran on the new chapter of her life. Nida Yasir, Fahima Awan, Azfar and other public figures shared congratulatory messages, while fans also flooded the post with prayers and good wishes.
The marriage also drew attention because Ishtiaq Baig was previously married to legendary Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan. The two married in 1995, and their relationship later ended in divorce. Nazia died in London in 2000 after battling cancer.
Following the announcement, some social media users recognized Ishtiaq Baig as Nazia Hassan’s former husband and brought up his past marriage in the comments.
Some users also repeated allegations previously made by Nazia’s brother Zohaib Hassan regarding Baig’s treatment of the late singer. Those allegations have been denied by Baig, and they should be understood as claims from the parties involved rather than established facts.
