Seven persons, including five teenaged girls, died after drinking poisonous milk at Pir Goth tehsil in Khairpur, while the condition of one girls was stated to be critical till last reports came in, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.  

Taking notice of the incident, Commissioner Sukkur division Fayyaz Abbasi sought a report from the Khairpur deputy commissioner.

Police said that the deceased had been identified as 18-year-old Asghar, 15-year-old Dilbar, Fehmida, Ganj Baby and Sonia Brohi, and two other girls who breathed last at the hospital during treatment.

Police further said they were investigating how the milk was mixed with poison.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minsiter Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the authorities concerned.
