Section 144 extended in Rawalpindi till Dec 24
The district administration has once again extended Section 144 in Rawalpindi, imposing restrictions on public activities until December 24, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
According to an official notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema, the extension has been enforced in the interest of maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety across the district.
Under the renewed restrictions, all forms of public gatherings, including rallies, processions, and demonstrations, have been completely banned.
The notification further states that the assembly of more than four persons at any place will not be allowed during the enforcement period.
In addition, the use of loudspeakers has also been prohibited, except where specific permission is granted by the relevant authorities.
The district administration has warned that strict legal action will be taken against violators of Section 144, urging citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
