Punjab to adopt Britain’s educational experiences: Education Minister

Education Minister of PunjabRana Sikandar Hayat and British High Commissioner Clara Strandhoj discussed the educational landscape of Punjab and potential collaborations between Britain and Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the meeting, the Minister highlighted the educational challenges faced by Punjab and expressed interest in initiating various educational projects in the province with British cooperation.
The Minister emphasised the importance of girls’ education and shared potential measures to enhance it.
He expressed his intention to implement reforms in Punjab, drawing from Britain’s educational experiences.
Hayat assured that every penny of the educational budget, presented under the guidance of the Chief Minister of Punjab, will be spent according to the educational manifesto of the Muslim League.
Hayat is committed to achieving a 100% literacy rate in Punjab and eradicating the educational deprivations of the past 76 years. He pledged to take responsibility for the education of more than a million out-of-school children.
He also promised that unlike the previous government, his administration will not give false hopes but will restore the public’s trust.
The Minister assured that the benefits of the budget will reach every out-of-school child. With Britain’s cooperation, Punjab will plan to tackle teacher training, school upgrades, and other challenges.
The Minister also announced the introduction of technical education and modern IT and technology courses for students. He affirmed that they are bringing both short-term and long-term education reforms.
