Pakistan players slip in ICC T20I rankings after New Zealand defeats

Pakistan's cricketers have faced significant drops in the latest ICC T20I rankings following their poor performance in the ongoing five-match series against New Zealand.

Former captain Babar Azam has slipped one place to eighth in the batting rankings, while Mohammad Rizwan has managed to retain his ninth position. Youngster Saim Ayub, however, has dropped three spots to 62nd. All three are absent from the series.

New Zealand's dominant 2-0 lead in the series has propelled its players up the rankings.

Tim Seifert made the biggest jump, climbing 20 places to 13th, while Finn Allen moved up eight spots to 18th.

In the bowling rankings, Shaheen Afridi suffered a six-place drop to 29th, while Haris Rauf climbed four positions to 26th after an improved showing in the second T20I.

Shadab Khan took the biggest hit among Pakistan players, falling ten places to 82nd.

New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy surged 23 places to 12th, thanks to his six wickets in two matches. Meanwhile, West Indies' Akeal Hosein remains the top-ranked T20I bowler, with India’s Varun Chakaravarthy and England’s Adil Rashid following in second and third, respectively.

With three matches left in the series, Pakistan’s players have a chance to redeem themselves, while New Zealand will look to extend their dominance.
