The Federal Investigation Agency in collaboration with the Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) Peshawar of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), organized an awareness session at the Government Technical Teachers Training College (GTTTC), Peshawar.

The session aimed to educate students about the dangers of human trafficking and irregular migration, while encouraging them to pursue safe and legal avenues for employment, education, and travel abroad.

Deputy Director FIA, Mehmood Ali Khokhar, briefed participants on the Agency’s efforts to combat human trafficking and migrant smuggling. He emphasized the importance of technical education and youth awareness in preventing exploitation by criminal networks involved in fraudulent job offers and illegal migration.

MRC Coordinator Hameed Ullah Khan and MRC Counsellor Muhammad Hussain Abdali highlighted various legal migration pathways and elaborated on MRC’s role in guiding individuals seeking opportunities overseas. They urged students to verify foreign job offers and educational opportunities through official and authorized channels before making any commitments.

The students actively participated in an interactive question-and-answer session and pledged to share the knowledge gained within their communities. The session concluded with a reaffirmation of FIA’s commitment to fostering an informed and vigilant youth capable of resisting human trafficking and irregular migration.
