Homesick Brooklyn Beckham cooks ‘Shepherd’s Pie’ in LA
Fans call him out and beg him to reunite with his family
Firstborn child of former footballer David Beckham, Brooklyn Beckham, has sparked fresh conversation online after sharing a video of himself cooking a classic British dish in his Los Angeles kitchen, leaving fans convinced he’s missing home.
The 26-year-old aspiring chef posted the clip on Instagram on Thursday, showing himself preparing what he described as a traditional Shepherd’s pie. The post came just days after another cooking video prompted followers to urge him to repair his increasingly strained relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, ahead of Christmas.
Now based in the US with his heiress wife Nicola Peltz, 30, Brooklyn was seen seasoning and cooking the meat before preparing the vegetables and assembling the pie, complete with a mashed potato topping.
However, eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot a potential culinary error.
Several followers pointed out that Brooklyn appeared to be using beef mince rather than lamb, meaning the dish would technically be a Cottage pie, not Shepherd’s.
According to Daily Mail, the comments quickly filled with corrections, including:

The cooking clip comes amid a deepening family rift that has seen Brooklyn and Nicola absent from all major Beckham family milestones over the past year.
These have included David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations and his knighthood last month.
Brooklyn’s continued absence is reportedly weighing heavily on David, 50, and Victoria, 51, as Christmas approaches. He is expected to spend the festive season with Nicola and her family in Miami, while the rest of the Beckhams celebrate together in the UK.
Sources close to the family say the estrangement has become increasingly painful, particularly after Brooklyn missed seeing his father receive his knighthood and Inter Miami’s recent MLS title win.
Fans flooded Brooklyn’s comments section with emotional pleas, urging him to reconnect before it was too late.

The post followed another apparent olive branch from Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz, 20, who shared a childhood home video of the pair together on Sunday. It marked Cruz’s second public nod to Brooklyn in recent weeks, after previously posting a 2021 holiday photo featuring Brooklyn, David and brother Romeo, 23, captioned: "Love you guys".
David himself also appeared to reach out last week by sharing a nostalgic collage on social media.
Alongside a recent photo of himself and Victoria with Romeo, Cruz and daughter Harper, 14, celebrating Inter Miami’s MLS trophy win, he included a throwback image of himself with Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz from his LA Galaxy playing days in 2011 and 2012.
Captioning the post "License to cry," David marked the moment after becoming the first person to win the MLS Cup both as a player and as an owner.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn’s grandmother Jackie hinted at hopes for a Christmas reunion by hanging his personalised stocking on her fireplace alongside those of her other grandchildren. Victoria later shared a video of the festive display, showing matching red stockings for Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, as well as those belonging to their cousins.
The stockings included children of Victoria’s younger sister Louise, Liberty, Tallulah, Finlay and Quincy, whom she shares with her ex-husband Darren Flood.
Insiders claimed the display was a deliberate message to Brooklyn, telling The Sun:
"Usually they wouldn't post all of the Christmas stockings laid out, but for them, it's their way of showing how missed Brooklyn is...
"How he does have a family that loves him, so whatever the narrative is going on with him and Nicola's family, that is not the Beckhams' story...
"The message they're sending is that the door is always open and he's always welcome. They'd love nothing more than to see Brooklyn over Christmas, put the past behind them and start 2026 afresh.
"And Nicola? Well they've stopped trying to win her back over. It might never happen, she might never warm up to them again. So for now, they're concentrating on Brooklyn."
Friends of the Beckham family have also revealed that both Jackie and David’s mother Sandra are "very sad" about the rift, particularly as they were once extremely close to Brooklyn and now rarely see him.
