Fog has gripped Punjab, throwing traffic on major roads in the province,  24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Poor visibility resulted in the closure of Lahore airport while four flights were canceled and 12 from Lahore to Karachi and other cities were rescheduled. 

Emirates flight EK622 from Dubai is set to land in Lahore at half past noon. Emirates flight EK623 to Dubai will leave the city at 3:20 pm, PK790, from Toronto, is set to arrive at 11:00am Jeddah-bound flight SV737 and flight from Jeddah SV738 were also canceled.

Reportedly, Jaffar Express was delayed by 8 hours, Karachi Express by 4 hours, and Pak Business Express by 3 hours. Various Motorways sections were closed to avert disaster. The officials have made an appeal for avoiding unnecessary travel and took safety steps.
