PM, Field Marshal to dash to Quetta today

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will visit Quetta today for first-hand knowledge about the victims of the deadkt school bus bombing in Khuzdar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Both the prime minister and the field marshal will be briefed on the terror attack carried out on a school bus in Khuzdar, which resulted in the martyrdom of six people, including four children.

They will also inquire after those injured in the attack.

It was because of their Quetta visit that the ceremony, which was due to be held in the honour of Field Marshal Asim Munir at the President House today, was cancelled.  

Sources told the 24News TV channel that the event was postponed on account of engagements of Field Marshal Asim Munir. 

President Asif Ali Zardari would fix badges and a medal on the Field Marshal’s uniform. Sources informed that new date and time for the ceremony would be decided later.
