CM Maryam inaugurates Green Tractor Programme Phase-3

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated the Green Tractor Programme Phase-3 through a draw, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
A record of 31000 tractors was created for Punjab farmers in two years.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the successful farmers in the lottery.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif called the lucky farmers whose names came in the draw.
Talking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said the agricultural landscape is changing with the arrival of the Green Tractor Scheme. 
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has always focused on the welfare of farmers. 
On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani gave a briefing.
He briefed that 427000 farmers owning five acres applied for the third phase of the CM Green Tractor Scheme. 
The prices of tractors in Pakistan have more than doubled in the last five years. 
In 2024, the Punjab government paid special attention to the use of agricultural machinery. 
Under the CM Green Tractor Scheme, two phases have been completed and 21,000 tractors have been provided.
As many as 10,000 tractors of 50 to 65 horsepower will be provided under the CM Tractor Scheme. 
There are 140 tractors on 10,000 acres of land in Punjab, which is less than 50 percent of the ratio in other countries.
Tractors are the most important machine in Punjab’s agricultural economy. 
The continuous increase in prices had made it difficult for small to medium farmers to buy tractors at full price.
