PAA fines 8 airlines for providing poor facilities to travellers at airports

Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has imposed heavy fines on multiple airlines for providing substandard facilities to passengers at national airports, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Pakistan Airports Authority took action against airlines over baggage delivery delays.

As many as 19 cases of baggage delivery delays reported between July 1 and August 15, 2026.

According to PAA authorities, eight airlines were fined for baggage delivery delays and total fines amounting to Rs1.62 million imposed on such airlines.

Airlines being required to ensure timely baggage delivery.

Efforts were underway to ensure better facilities for passengers and compliance with established service standards.

Continuous monitoring of the quality of passenger facilities at airports is ongoing, the PAA said.
