Hollywood stars named in unsealed court filings amid Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni legal battle

The ongoing legal dispute between actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over the film It Ends with Us has widened to include several high-profile Hollywood figures after newly unsealed court documents revealed private messages and emails involving multiple celebrities.

The legal saga began in December 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, who directed and starred in the film, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation.

Baldoni denied the claims and later filed a $400 million countersuit, which has since been dismissed. The trial is currently scheduled to begin in May 2026.

In recent months, unsealed filings submitted to the court have offered fresh insight into behind-the-scenes tensions during the film’s production.

Court records revealed that Lively listed more than 100 potential witnesses, including well-known figures from the entertainment industry.

Among the names referenced in the documents is pop superstar Taylor Swift, a close friend of Lively.

According to court exhibits, Lively sought Swift’s support for proposed edits to the film’s script. Lawyers for Lively have maintained that some released messages lack context and do not support claims made by Baldoni’s legal team.

American football star Travis Kelce was also mentioned, with filings suggesting Lively encouraged Swift to share the film’s edits with him for feedback.

Actors Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, along with their spouses, were allegedly contacted by Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds to review versions of the film and offer opinions.

Fashion industry icon Anna Wintour appeared in the documents through an email praising the film following its release, reportedly commending Lively for her work under difficult circumstances. Other actors connected to the film were also named.

Jenny Slate, who appeared in It Ends with Us, allegedly expressed strong concerns about her experience on the set in private messages, while actor Brandon Sklenar reportedly exchanged messages with Lively discussing creative disagreements related to Baldoni.

Actress and activist Jameela Jamil was also referenced in unsealed texts that reflected criticism of Lively’s public conduct during the film’s promotional tour. Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds reportedly referenced actor Johnny Depp in a private exchange while discussing public narratives around legal disputes.

Bradley Cooper’s name surfaced in relation to a private screening of Lively’s edited version of the film, which she reportedly described as receiving positive feedback.

Legal experts note that the unsealing of such documents often brings heightened public scrutiny but does not necessarily reflect final court findings. As the case moves toward trial, both sides continue to deny wrongdoing, while the involvement of prominent figures has amplified media attention surrounding the dispute.
