The hearing of the Toshakhana reference (Toshakhana-2 case) against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi continued on Thursday at Adiala Jail, with further progress made in the cross-examination of prosecution witnesses.
Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand presided over the in-camera proceedings held inside the jail premises. Both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were present in the courtroom during the hearing.
Defence counsel Qosin Faisal Mufti represented the accused, while Special Public Prosecutors Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi and Umair Majeed Malik appeared on behalf of the prosecution.
The court completed the cross-examination of prosecution witness Shafqat Mahmood. Partial cross-examination was also conducted for witness Mohsin Hassan by the defence team. So far, nine witnesses have been fully cross-examined, while proceedings for the tenth remain incomplete.
The hearing was adjourned until Saturday, July 26, as the court continues to record witness testimonies in the high-profile graft case.
