Ishaq Dar calls for sustained US-Iran engagement
Pakistan has stressed importance of dialogue, diplomacy and sustained engagement in promoting Middle East peace and stability, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
This was said by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar in a meeting with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of 81st United Nations General Assembly session in New York on Wednesday.
The two counterparts discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
Ishaq Dar underscored the importance of dialogue, diplomacy and sustained engagement in promoting regional peace and stability.
Both sides agreed to remain in close contact.

Meeting with Kyrgyz FM
Ishaq Dar also met with Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The two ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional developments, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen Pakistan–Kyrgyzstan cooperation.

Ishaq Dar also held a meeting with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov in New York.
The two Foreign Ministers held a productive exchange on further advancing the close and brotherly Pakistan-Azerbaijan relationship and discussed bilateral matters of mutual interest.
They reaffirmed their mutual support and commitment to further strengthening multifaceted bilateral cooperation and agreed to maintain close contact.
