Policeman martyred, attacker killed in Peshawar shootout

A police officer was martyred and two others were critically injured during an exchange of fire with suspects on Warsak Road in Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.

Police said the injured officers were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

One attacker was killed when police returned fire, officials said.

A search operation was launched in the area following the exchange of fire to trace other suspects.
