Karachi Police and Rangers personnel baton-charged and threw tear gas on Nasla Tower victims to stop their advance towards the tower's demolition site, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The protesters tried to block the road as well but police used force to stop their march towards the site. The situation near the demolition site became tense.

In the footage it can be seen that police personnel carrying teargas guns and throwing tear gas shells towards the protesters. The protesters comprised Nasla Tower victims and Karachi builders’ association named “Abad” members as well. Nasla Tower victims said that they have not been provided a single penny yet and yet their flats have been demolished.

It is reported that LEAs also sought water-canon to control the situation.
