Pakistan opener and wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan on Tuesday extended moral support to Indian fast bowler Muhammad Shami while commenting on the online racist slurs against the only Muslim cricketer in Indian Cricket Team, urging Indians to respect their stars and game should bring people together and not divide them.
He tweeted, “The kind of pressure, struggles, and sacrifices a player has to go through for his country and his people are immeasurable.”
Rizwan paid rich tributes to his fellow cricketer Muhammad Shami, saying he is a star and indeed of the best bowlers in the world.
“Please respect your stars. This game should bring people together & not divide 'em,” Rizwan advised to hate-mongers and extremist mindsets in India who actually blamed Shami for selling his ‘soul’ to Pakistan in T20 match between arch-rivals in the ICC Men’s-XI Cricket World Cup.

Former pacer of Indian Cricket Team Irfan Pathan already defended Muhammad Shami and said he had never faced such a situation in the past.
Without naming India Prime Minister Modi, Irfan said that he was talking about India a few years back.
“Even I was part of #IndvsPak battles on the field where we have lost but never been told to go to Pakistan. I’m talking about India of a few years back.”
He wrote in caps words, “THIS CRAP NEEDS TO STOP.”
