Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director-General (DG) Riffat Mukhtar Raja took strong action against five officials who were involved in corruption and inefficiency, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to the details, the DG dismissed two inspectors and two sub-inspectors from service and demoted one female inspector to the post of sub-inspector.

The officials were performing their responsibilities in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore Zones.

The Director-General said that there is no place for corrupt officials in the Federal Investigation Agency.

He said that the strict accountability process will continue against the corrupt officials. DG Riffat Mukhtar Raja said that any officials who are found involved in corruption will be dealt with as per the law.

He said that “we will curb human smuggling and corruption” only by taking stern action against corrupt officials.

He stated that officials found to be involved in inefficiency will be subject to exemplary punishment.
