Fire erupts in prayer mat-making factory in Guranwala

A massive fire broke out at a prayer mat-making factory in Gujranwala on Saturday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The factory is located near Khursheed Marriage Hall on Race Course Road in Gujranwala. Soon after receiving the report, rescue and firefighting teams rushed to the spot and began an operation to bring the fire under control.

Rescue sources later stated that a large quantity of cotton and polyester was present in the factory.

As many as eight fire vehicles, one ambulance, and 1 motorbike participated in the rescue operation.

The two-storey factory covered an area of 1 kanal, while 10 percent of the ground floor was affected by the fire.

Later, Emergency Officer Operations Engineer Taimoor and Incident Commanders supervised the fire operation and brought it under control. No loss of life or injury was reported at the site of the incident.

Earlier, a fire broke out on the fourth floor of Super Yifan Industries on GT Road in Gujranwala, with initial information suggesting that a short circuit may have caused the blaze.

Rescue teams reached the factory shortly after receiving the emergency call and immediately began firefighting operations. Police teams also arrived at the scene.
