Accountability court rejects Fawad Hassan Fawad plea to sell shopping plaza

An accountability court Thursday rejected a plea of accused Fawad Hassan Fawad, Principal Secretary to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to grant him allowance to sell his personal shopping plaza, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) prosecutor, accused Fawad Hassan Fawad wanted to sell his Plaza for Rs9.25 billion, which is located at Sadar Bazar in Rawalpindi.
As per the NAB reference, the plaza is said to contain illicit assets.
At the request of NAB, the accountability court had barred the accused from selling the plaza on his own.
Fawad Hassan Fawad's petition was filed at Lahore’s accountability court in December last year.
It is relevant to mention that the NAB case against former principal secretary Fawad Hassan Fawad has been pending in the accountability court Lahore since March 2019.
