Kite manufacturers running against time to meet orders

It has become difficult for kite makers to fulfill orders for Basant in Lahore and kite associations sought permission to order kites from other parts of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The arrival of Basant after 2 decades has created immense demand.

It has become difficult for manufacturers to fulfill orders for kites and strings Kite Flying Association demanded lifting of ban on ordering kites from outside Lahore.

According to sources, Kite Flying Association reiterated its demand in a meeting with the Commissioner.

Prices will also be under control if permission is granted to order kites from outside.

However, district administration assured consideration of the association's demands and recommendations have been sent to the government in light of the demands of the Kite Flying Association.

Final permission to order kites and strings is subject to government green signal.

It is possibility of allowing ordering kites to keep prices under control.

Under the Kite Flying Ordinance 2025, the use and business of kites and strings is allowed only in Lahore.
