Seven others of TV channel’s team critically wounded when their van hit by a passenger bus

In an accident that cannot be described in words, Zawar Khan, a producer at 24News, was martyred while seven other members of the team of TV channel’s producers and cameramen were critically wounded when a speeding passenger bus crashed into the 24News van, which was on its way from Mirpur (Azad Jammu and Kashmir) to Lahore, near Kala Gujran rail crossing in Jhelum early Thursday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Zawar Khan was the producer of TV channel's programme 'Jurm Benaqab'. He left behind a wife and a daughter to mourn his death.

May Allah (The Almighty) bless his (Zawar) soul and grant patience to his family members. Ameen. 

May those injured in the incident have a speedy recovery. 

Those injured in the accident were City News Network’s senior producer Muhammad Rafiuz Zaman, Associate Producer Muhammad Ismael, Cameramen Naveed Ahmed, Jaafar Bhatti, Danish, Control Room Engineer Manzoor and driver Arshad.

Police said the accident as driver of the passenger bus fell asleep.

IG Motorway Police takes notice:

Meanwhile, Inspector General (IG) of Motorway Police (MP) Inam Ghani has taken notice of the incident and sought report from the concerned officials. 

He has said that hunt for the passenger van’s driver was launched. 

However, driver of the passenger bus managed to flee from the scene after the incident. 

The injured and the dead body were shifted to a nearby hospital.
