Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that 10 additional marks will be given during departmental recruitment to children of the martyred police personnel appearing on open merit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Mohsin Naqvi took this decision following a meeting with IGP Punjab and CCPO in Lahore on Saturday in an effort to simplify the procedure of departmental recruitment of children of police martyrs. 

The offspring of the martyrs can be recruited in another district, the chief minister Mohsin Naqvi further stated, if seats are not available in the concerned district.  

Furthermore, the Chief Minister has decided to increase the financial package of brave Ghazis who became disabled while fighting anti-social elements on duty.

On the instructions of Mohsin Naqvi, IGP has formed a 3-member committee headed by DIGs Establishment, Operations and IT in this regard.

Likewise, the committee will prepare its recommendations in seven days and present them in the next meeting of the executive board.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to resolve the pending cases of financial assistance to the families of the martyrs as soon as possible, describing it as their entitlement.

The system would be furthered strengthened to allow the children of martyrs to pursue higher education, he added, reiterating that funds will be arranged immediately for the immediate payment of financial aid to the families of the martyrs. 

He further stated that a policy will be formulated for the admission of the martyr’s children in the standard educational institutions of the respective districts. He also vowed to manage the admissions for the martyrs' children in the best medical, engineering, computer sciences and other educational institutions on a priority basis.
