STORM as Bollywood copies Noor Jehan’s song ‘Zaalima Coca Cola Pila De’ in anti-Pakistani movie
By now we must have all seen Nora Fatehi’s new song ‘Zaalima Coca Cola’ taking all the attention over the internet however did you know that ‘Zaalima Coca Cola Pila De’ is originally sung by Pakistan’s queen of melody, Noor Jehan?
Now the most interesting yet enraging bit would be that Bollywood decided to recreate Noor Jehan’s masterpiece which might not be a questionable move as chart-topping music and specially sung by renowned artists tend to provoke inspiration however the most annoying part is that a Pakistani song is being featured in an anti-Pakistan movie.
You sense the irony?
Nora’s Bollywood number ‘Zaalima Coca Cola’ has been featured in Bhuj: The Pride of India and the movie stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha.
A Twitter user feels: “They literally butchered one of my favourite Pakistani songs.”
Another Twitter user feels: “Bollywood has a history of stealing Pakistani songs whether they are songs of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan or Madan Noor Jehan or any other Pakistani singer.”
