President Dr Arif Alvi has approved the withdrawal of the curative review reference and Civil Miscellaneous Application (CMA) against Supreme Court judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The president on Friday gave the approval on the advice of the prime minister in accordance with Article 48 (1) of the Constitution.

Dr Alvi also signed his power of attorney in favour of Advocate Supreme Court Anees Ahmed Shehzad.

Meanwhile, President Arif Alvi also signed the "Lawyers' Welfare and Protection Bill 2023" into law. He approved the bill under Article 75 of the Constitution.
