Two Sindh MPAs test positive for coronavirus

Two members of Sindh Assembly have contracted coronavirus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s member of the Sindh Assembly Shahnawaz Jadoon, has tested positive for coronavirus. Jadoon’s test results came out Saturday night after which he has been shifted to isolation.
Along with this, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) lawmaker, elected from PS-119, Ali Khurshidi has also been tested positive.
Out of the total of 168 members of the assembly, 50 percent members have been tested for COVID-19 and as per protocols, all the members of the assembly are to be tested.
If tested positive, the members have to isolate themselves and avoid public meetings to curb the spread of the virus.
During the last assembly session, it was decided that the upcoming session will be held with 50 percent attendance so that social distancing is maintained.
More than 27,000 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Sindh so far and 465 people have died.
