Punjab govt to recruit 15000 school teachers on daily wages

Punjab government has announced to recruit 15000 school teachers on daily wages across Punjab schools for the period of nine months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The deadline to submit the applications is July 15 and interviews would be conducted on July 20 and the School Council would issue job letters on August 5.

The daily-wage teachers of elementary schools would get Rs800 per day and Secondary schools teachers would get Rs1000 per day while Higher Secondary School teachers would get Rs1200 per day.

The Punjab government will recruit these teachers as per the Schools Teachers Internship Program in six phases. The provincial government will recruit as many as 13,736 teachers on daily wages in Phase-I via online submitted applications.

The budget allocated for the recruitment of daily-wage school teachers is worth Rs130.4 million.

The minimum qualification to apply for the post is B.A and BSC and the maximum age limit to apply for the post for male teachers is 50 years and for women the age limit is 55 years.

These teachers would get an allowance from the budget of the School Council Fund.
