Video grab from ongoing Pakistani drama serial Kuch Ankahi.

There is a very stirring video circulating over the internet that features Pakistani stars Mira Sethi and Asma Abbas brilliantly depicting the roles of ‘Saas’ (mother-in-law) and ‘Bahu’ (daughter-in-law).

The reason that the relevant video has been managing to provoke such intense emotions over the internet is because of the very uncommon context showcased during the span of the video clip featuring a very soul-stirring interaction being conducted between a Pakistani mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law.

However, the uncommon aspect regarding this particular scene (which has been featured in an ongoing Pakistani drama serial ‘Kuch Ankahi’) is how deeply affected the mother-in-law is by the behavior of her ‘bahu’ who decided to take out some clothes of her ‘saas’ in order to tend to them whereas the affectionate lady ends up finding a picture of her husband’s mother it seems which she then decides to put up on a wall.

When the mother-in-law approaches Mira Sethi (who is depicting the daughter-in-law role), she is completely blown away by the gesture that her son’s wife has taken.

Here is what Asma Abbas (who is playing the role of mother-in-law) states during the span of the video clip which has managed to garner quite a lot of views: “Kesi larki ho tum. Tumne kahan se dhoond li. Agar bura waqt agaya tou chor ke tou nahi jaogi na ab. Dekho ab tum mera sahara ban gayi ho. Haan ghar kaisa badal dia tumne sara ka sara. Mujhe pata hai tum mere bete ki taqdeer bhi badal do gi. Bohat taqat aur sabar dia hai Allah ne tumhe.”

The above-mentioned statements uttered by veteran Pakistani star Asma Abbas have managed to provoke utter awe because the interaction is mighty uncommon with how the concept of getting along is rather unknown when it comes to a ‘Desi saas’ and a ‘Desi bahu.’

However, the scene is quite impactful and seems to adeptly reflect over the kind of bond that should nourish between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law, instead of harboring jealousy and contempt towards each other.
