French defence official meets Field Marshal Asim Munir at GHQ

France's Secretary General for Defence and National Security Nicolas Roche called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

French Ambassador to Pakistan Jean-Noël Poirier accompanied Roche during the meeting.

The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security and bilateral cooperation in the defence and security domains.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with France and further enhancing defence and security cooperation.

Roche acknowledged Pakistan's efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

He also conveyed France's interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan in areas of mutual interest.
