Pakistan junior golf team geared up for 3rd APGC Championship in Dhaka

Pakistan’s promising junior golfers are geared up to showcase their talent at the 3rd APGC Bangladesh Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026, with the eight-member national contingent set to compete in the prestigious international event in Dhaka from September 23 to 26.

The Pakistan team, fielded under the auspices of the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF), has reached Bangladesh and is preparing for a challenging four-day campaign after receiving a special invitation from the Bangladesh Golf Federation.

The national junior squad features a promising mix of young golfers from leading clubs across the country. The contingent comprises Jannat Aamer Jami of Indus Golf Club Attock, Muhammad Barik Ayub of PAF Islamabad Golf Club, Behzad Murtaza of Karachi Golf Club Karsaz and Nabeeha Nafees of Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club.

The lineup is completed by Muhammad Musa Adil Waraich of Peshawar Golf Club, Mustafa Zubair of Margalla Greens Golf Club, Wareesha Shahid Malik of Islamabad Club Golf Course and Dua Farid Rao of PAF Risalpur Golf Club. It is has been learnt that all the participants are registered junior golfers of Ace Junior Golf League. 

The Dhaka championship presents Pakistan’s young golfers with an important opportunity to test their skills in international conditions. The players will be aiming to convert their domestic experience and preparation into strong performances as they take on the regional challenge over four days.

A key figure associated with the development of the PGF’s junior golf initiatives is Kamran Malik, who has worked on strengthening junior development and high-performance pathways. His efforts include completing the Game Development and High Performance Programme certification from the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of Australia.

The junior development work has also received international recognition, with The R&A having invited the PGF to present its Junior Development Programme at its Global Alliance Best Practices Exchange conference. The initiative reflects the broader effort to develop a structured pathway for Pakistan’s young golfers.

The PGF has extended its best wishes to the team for the championship and expressed hope that the young golfers will represent Pakistan with discipline, confidence and sportsmanship. 
With the opening round scheduled for September 23, Pakistan’s junior golfers are now ready for the challenge in Dhaka.
