Dar, Azerbaijan FM discuss stronger bilateral ties in New York

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in New York, with the two sides discussing ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry said the ministers reviewed the strategic partnership between the two countries and underscored the importance of maintaining strong political dialogue.

Dar and Bayramov discussed bilateral matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The two foreign ministers also stressed the importance of continuing mutual support on issues of national interest at international forums.

Both sides agreed to further consolidate bilateral cooperation and maintain close contact.

Dar is in New York as part of Pakistan’s delegation for the high-level week of the UN General Assembly, where he is holding a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers and other international representatives.
