How Saif Ali Khan landed his role in Aap Ki Izzat?
Pakistani actor Saif Ali Khan’s journey from reality television to scripted drama has taken an interesting turn, with his performance as Behram in Aap Ki Izzat becoming another highlight of the show.
According to producer Nina Kashif, Saif was not originally discovered through a conventional acting audition.
The team was searching for an actor who could naturally fit the background of Behram when Kashif came across Saif’s clips from Tamasha Season 4.
She discussed the idea with Omar Mukhtar senior producer, who was also immediately in favour of considering Saif for the role.
After receiving the required endorsement, the production team contacted Mahesh from the production house, who then got in touch with Adnan to reach Saif.
Interestingly, Saif received his first call regarding the drama shortly after his reality show journey.
For Saif, Aap Ki Izzat marked his debut on television. He plays Behram, a vegetable seller whose unexpected involvement in Beena’s life, played by Urwa Hocane, becomes an important turning point in the story.
The drama has been written by acclaimed writer Umera Ahmed and directed by Saife Hassan, while Nina Kashif and Momina Duraid are associated with its production.
The main cast includes Ahsan Khan, Urwa Hocane, Sania Saeed and Saif Ali Khan.
Nina Kashif has remained an important name behind several Pakistani television projects and has played a key role in bringing Aap Ki Izzat to the screen.
Her decision to consider Saif after noticing his reality show performance, which ultimately gave the newcomer an opportunity to step into a completely different world of acting.
Before entering scripted television, Saif gained recognition through Tamasha Season 4, where he emerged as the winner.
