KP CM says Islamabad’s ‘Container City’ will not stop PTI movement
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said the federal capital has been turned into a “container city”, adding that such measures will not force PTI workers to abandon the movement, 24News HD TV reported on Friday.
While addressing workers in connection with PTI's street movement in Charsadda, PTI workers should remain prepared for what he described as a prolonged political struggle, as the party steps up preparations for its planned march towards Islamabad.
“I am Imran Khan’s player, and workers should remain ready. This time, it will be a Test match.”
Referring to Pashtun nationalist leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s call for a limited period of protest, the chief minister said Achakzai was talking about “a few overs”, while PTI workers were prepared for a T20 match.

Afridi said the political contest was not “fixed” and expressed confidence that his party would succeed in securing the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.
He said he would continue the struggle regardless of the risks and would not retreat even if it put his life in danger.
Afridi also described the protest as a constitutional and legal right.
During his visit to Charsadda, Afridi was also scheduled to visit the hujra of provincial minister Fazal Shakoor’s family to express solidarity with them following the minister’s reported disappearance.
A petition seeking Shakoor’s recovery was filed in the Peshawar High Court after his family alleged that he had been abducted by unidentified armed men.
