Funeral prayer of martyred SHO Riaz Hussain offered in Khyber

The funeral prayer of SHO Malagori Police Station Riaz Hussain was offered at Police Lines Khyber Shakas who had embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire with smugglers in Jamrud, reported 24NewsHD TV.

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah, DPO Khyber Waqar Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Khyber Shahid Ali and military officials attended the funeral.

Special Assistant to the KP Chief Minister Azmat Saeed, MPA Abdul Ghani and Naveed Afridi, along with senior police officers and personnel, also attended the funeral prayer.

A large number of the martyr’s family members and local residents participated in the funeral and paid tribute to his services. The martyr’s father was seen in an emotional state during the funeral proceedings.

Senior officials expressed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks.

DPO Khyber Waqar Ahmed assured the family of continued support and cooperation.

CCPO Peshawar Dr Mian Saeed Ahmed also visited the martyr’s residence, offered condolences to the family and directed authorities to bring those involved in the incident to justice at the earliest.
