‘Kaleidoscopic Karachi’ showcases city’s fashion, culture and creative identity
Karachi’s diverse cultural identity, fashion and visual character took centre stage at “Kaleidoscopic Karachi,” a fashion and cultural showcase held as part of Pakistan Fashion Week.
The event brought together prominent names from Pakistan’s fashion and creative industries, presenting different perspectives on Karachi through fashion, photography, design and visual storytelling.
Collections and creative work by Deepak Perwani, Wardha Saleem, Khaadi, The Pink Tree Company and Sana Safinaz were featured at the showcase, highlighting contemporary Pakistani fashion and design.
The event also featured “Tapu Javeri: A Decade Retrospective of Fashion Photography,” celebrating the photographer’s work documenting Pakistan’s evolving fashion landscape.
Hosted at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, the showcase brought together fashion designers, photographers and creative practitioners under one platform.
“Kaleidoscopic Karachi” portrayed the city through multiple creative perspectives, reflecting its contrasts between traditional and contemporary influences, established identities and emerging expressions.
The showcase served as a meeting point for fashion, art, photography and Karachi’s cultural identity, offering audiences a visual interpretation of the city’s color, energy and diverse character.
