Anti-Corruption team arrests patwari, private clerk during raid in Kallar Syedan

The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment has arrested a patwari and a private clerk during an operation at the Dera Khalsa Patwar Circle office in Chowk Pindori, Kallar Syedan, Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

According to Anti-Corruption sources, Patwari Faheem allegedly demanded Rs. 500,000 from Chaudhry Abbas, president of the Chowk Pindori Traders’ Association, to register a two-marla shop.

Marked currency notes worth Rs100,000 were recovered from the patwari during the operation conducted after a complaint filed by Chaudhry Abbas.

The Anti-Corruption team also received complaints that the patwari was not regularly available at his office and allegedly demanded money from people for official work.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment has initiated legal proceedings against the arrested patwari and the private clerk.
