Police arrest 5 for supplying kites in Lahore

Police foiled a bid to supply 100 kites and prohibited kite string and arrested four people in Lahore, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The operation took place in Gajumata and Sherakot areas of Lahore.  A Dolphin Force spokesman said the Superintendent of Police (SP), Dolphin Force Bilal Ahmad, directed officers to take strict action against kite selling.

Police recovered 100 kites and 9 prohibited kite reels from the custody of these accused.

The accused were later identified as Zubair, Shehzad, Tayyab and Aziz.

Superintendent of Police Dolphin Force Bilal Ahmad strictly directed all relevant officials to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against the selling of kites, and anyone found involved in this practice should be dealt with an iron fist.
